AccuWeather Forecast: Sunny skies, gradual warming to start week
ABC7 News Weather Anchor Spencer Christian has your AccuWeather forecast for Sunday.

Takeaway of the Day

Bright sunshine prevailed today, as yesterday's rainfall moved out of the Bay Area. But a chilly, gusty onshore wind flow has kept temperatures far below average. Gusts have ranged from 30 to 40 miles per hour, and afternoon temperatures have reached only into the mid-60s. Despite this early May "chill," today's bright, blue skies were a welcome sight.

The Look Ahead

The new work week will begin with sunny skies and gradual warming, as temperatures return to the seasonal average by Tuesday. The remainder of the week will bring a major warmup, as inland temperatures soar into the upper 80s by Friday, with lower 80s likely along the bay shoreline. Even the coast may break the 70-degree mark before week's end. These next five days will bring a dramatic shift from an almost winter-like chill to an early taste of summerlike heat.
